When Your  'Special Needs'  are Love and Anarchy

From award-winning writer Christian O'Reilly (Sanctuary, The Good Father, Inside I’m Dancing), comes a ground-breaking new play inspired by the life of Martin Naughton.

Martin is an agitator. A disruptor. He's basically Michael Collins in a wheelchair.

But what happens when your 'special needs' are anarchy and love, and will his fight for equality be derailed by dreams of lifelong love and distant shores?

Written by Galway-based playwright and screenwriter Christian O’Reilly and directed by Raymond Keane, No Magic Pill will have its premiere at The Black Box Theatre, Galway before heading to the Dublin Theatre Festival.

No Magic Pill is ground-breaking for Irish theatre in its casting of disabled actors, and will be presented with additional accessibility considerations, including increased seating for wheelchair users and their companions, and shows with Audio Description and Irish Sign Language Interpretation.

Supported by the Arts Council of Ireland in partnership with Disability Federation of Ireland, Independent Living Movement Ireland, Irish Wheelchair Association, Galway City Council, Galway County Council, Dublin City Council and South Dublin County Council.
